Friday was my last day of cookie labs. Thank goodness! I am so incredibly tired of cookies! We made four different kinds of cookies: sugar cookies, linzer cookies, pecan orange biscotti and peanut agave granola bars ( I know that these aren't technically cookies, but we had to do something somewhat healthy). All of these cookies involved rolling and cutting (except the "non-cookie") so that was the day's learning goal. Something that was kind of a shame was that three out of four of these cookies involved nuts, so the one person (Margot) in the family who eats most of my baked goods... couldn't. So I still have TONS! The freezer is stocked with cookies for the next century. Friday was also the first real time that I injured myself in class. It was bound to happen sooner than later, but I didn't think that I would hurt myself in every way possible in just one day. I burnt my hand and I cut my finger. So not only was I bleeding and had to ask for a bandaid, but I now no longer have a fingerprint.  The good news is that this week, we won't be making cookies, but quick breads instead. We all love quick breads and loaves... but I'm predicting we will have a change of mind by the end of this week. We'll see, I guess!

Here are my cookies (minus the granola bar) :)
