As most of you may already know, I have taken this year as an opportunity to explore my options for the future. Yay. Seeing as I couldn't make up my mind (what else is new, right?) with as to what I wanted to study in university, I decided to pursue a hobby of mine instead. That's right, this year I am a student at Niagara College in the Baking and Pastry program. I have loved to bake for a couple of years now and have found that it is one of the only things that interest me even when I feel like doing nothing. I have baked anything and everything at home, whether it be breads, cakes, cookies etc. I'm hoping that by the time the end of second semester rolls around, that I'll be a pro and have a good supply of treats in the freezer that could last me a century (I may share...) . This year, I am hoping that I will learn a lifelong lasting lesson that I can continue to use over the years even if I don't continue on this path. I have decided to use this blog as a way to keep track of everything that I will be doing throughout this course and also as a way to show my friends and family (aka you!) what I'm up to. Tomorrow is my first "lab", so... let the baking begin!
